Pomelo Care | First Round
Pomelo Care
Imagine if proactive, evidence-based healthcare could dramatically improve outcomes for women and children throughout their lives.
Pomelo Care is a virtual, multi-speciality medical practice that uses a value-based care model to address underlying risk factors to improve maternal and newborn health. By engaging patients early, conducting individualized risk assessments for poor pregnancy outcomes, and delivering coordinated, personalized virtual care, the Pomelo team aims to reduce healthcare spend and improve outcomes.
We invested in Pomelo’s June 2021 seed round after first getting to know founder Marta Bralic Kerns through Nat Turner and Flatiron Health, where she spent 7 years and was Senior VP of Business Development.
