Before joining First Round, Julianna was an editor at a marketing agency called Codeword, where she wrote everything from blogs to social copy to exec speeches for clients like Google and Shopify. Before that, she did content marketing for startups at another agency called Propllr.

Julianna graduated from Northwestern University with degrees in Sociology and Spanish. She got her first taste of the startup world as a marketing intern at Northwestern’s student entrepreneurship hub, and she's been drawn to startup storytelling ever since.
