“In my role as Chief of Staff, I work alongside First Round Partner Liz Wessel across her investing and founder support operations, from evaluating and performing diligence on new opportunities, to closely supporting the founders in the First Round community.”

I’m drawn to the early moments when the future is still being imagined, and am endlessly inspired by the founders who are transforming big visions into real momentum.

Before joining First Round, Maddi spent several years partnering with boards and CEOs on strategy and leadership at Spencer Stuart. Her work emphasized helping leaders use data and insight to navigate complexity at scale. She also worked closely with Spencer Stuart leadership to build the strategic and operational engines that support the discovery and development of the next generation of CEOs and Board Directors.

Through this experience, she developed a strong sense of what differentiates great leaders, and an appreciation for how alignment, clarity, and well-designed leadership structures compound over time and shape the trajectory of companies as they grow.
